Nikon Nivo 3.C 3" Prism & Reflectorless Total Station
The Nikon Nivo 5.C is a 5″ total station used to measure positions, angles, and distances in surveying and construction. It combines a telescope, electronic angle measurement, and a distance meter in one portable instrument. Surveyors use it to record existing site features and establish points needed for a project.
The Nivo 5.C can measure to a survey prism or directly to suitable surfaces in reflectorless mode. Prism measurement is useful for longer distances, while reflectorless measurement helps when a point is difficult to reach. Under good conditions, its rated range is up to 5,000 m with a single prism and up to 500 m on a highly reflective surface without one.
Its 30× telescope helps the operator aim at a target, and the color touchscreen provides access to measurements and field software. The instrument can store survey points and support layout work, such as transferring positions from a plan onto a construction site. A second display allows readings from the opposite face of the instrument.
Built for outdoor work, the Nivo 5.C has dual-axis tilt compensation and an IP66-rated housing for dust and water protection. Bluetooth and USB connections support data transfer, while two rechargeable, hot-swappable batteries help keep the instrument running through the workday. The software and accessories supplied with an individual unit should be checked before purchase.
