Trimble TSC5 Data Collector
The Trimble TSC5 Data Collector is a handheld survey controller used to operate compatible GNSS receivers and total stations. It gives surveyors a way to set up equipment, collect measurements, and manage jobs while working in the field. The controller works with surveying instruments; it is not itself a replacement for a survey-grade receiver or total station.
With compatible field software such as Trimble Access, the TSC5 guides users through tasks including measuring points, recording site features, and setting out positions from a design. Surveyors can review coordinates and other job information on its screen as they work, helping them check measurements before leaving the site.
The TSC5 runs on Android and combines a 5-inch touchscreen with a backlit physical keypad. The screen is designed to be readable outdoors, while the keys make it practical to enter measurements and commands when wearing gloves or working in difficult weather.
Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth help the controller communicate with equipment and transfer field data. Depending on its configuration, optional cellular connectivity can provide network access for receiving GNSS corrections and sharing information between the field and office. Its USB-C port supports charging and data transfer.
Designed for daily survey work, the TSC5 has a rugged housing that resists dust, water, and shocks, along with battery capacity intended for a full field day. It brings instrument control, measurement records, and job information together in a portable device that crews can carry from point to point.
