Trimble Ranger Data Colllector
Rugged, expandable handheld for the mobile worker
The rugged and reliable Trimble® Ranger™ handheld is ideal for your mobile workforce. With built-in wireless connectivity that gives you access to enterprise data on-the-go, you’ll have the information you need to do the job right the first time. And the productivity you will gain with a full alphanumeric keypad will save your company time and money.
Connected and expandable
The Trimble Ranger handheld covers all bases with a range of wireless options. Built-in Bluetooth® allows cable-free connection to other Bluetooth devices, including Trimble’s GPS Pathfinder® Pro series receivers for on-the-spot positioning.
With integrated wireless LAN capability, the Trimble Ranger handheld can connect seamlessly to a local network for easy and convenient data transfer.
And if that doesn’t give you enough options, two CompactFlash (CF) slots and a Secure Digital Input Output (SDIO) slot let you add supported GSM, GPRS, or CDMA cards, for the ultimate in back-office connectivity. The USB host port can be used for a range of applications, including copying data to and from a USB flash memory drive.
Software to meet all your business needs
Because it runs the industry-standard Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ version 5.0 software, your choice of field applications is virtually unlimited. And with the familiar range of Microsoft applications (such as Word Mobile and Excel Mobile) provided as standard, you have easy access to information and documents every step of the way.
It’s no problem to take digital copies of plans, maps and schematics into the field—they’ll be crisp and crystal-clear on the advanced outdoor color screen. The Trimble Ranger handheld gives you plenty of on-board memory for your data, with the option to add more via the CF and SDIO slots.
Trimble tools to get you there
Trimble even offers a range of tools to get you to the job site faster. The Trimble Navigator Sample Application software1 connects to the Microsoft MapPoint® web service to give you point-of-interest information and driving directions exactly when you need them. In addition, you can select a free copy of Microsoft Streets & Trips2 2006 software with your Trimble Ranger handheld, providing easy navigation and route planning with comprehensive maps and travel information.
Rugged design for all-weather operation
Much sturdier than a laptop or PDA, the Trimble Ranger handheld’s sealed casing is dust, shock, and water-resistant, so you can keep working no matter what the weather throws at you. A powerful, long-life battery ensures all day field use. And because the Trimble Ranger runs Windows Mobile 5.0 software, all your data and applications reside in persistent storage, and are secure, even in the event of a power loss.
Satisfied customers
With a range of communication options for all situations, the Trimble Ranger handheld is quite simply the best-connected, rugged handheld computer available. With ready access to information, you’ll be more responsive on site—you’ll need fewer return trips, saving time and money—and you’ll improve customer satisfaction.
