The Sokkia FX-105 is a 5-second reflectorless total station designed for surveying, construction layout, and site measurement. It measures horizontal and vertical angles as well as distances, helping field crews calculate point positions, record existing features, and place design points on the ground.
Its reflectorless distance meter can measure directly to suitable surfaces without placing a prism at the target. This is useful for surveying walls, building corners, road features, and other points that are difficult to access. Sokkia specifies a reflectorless range of 0.3 to 500 meters under stated conditions. The FX-105 can also measure to a prism when longer distances are needed.
The instrument has a 30× telescope for sighting targets and a dual-axis compensator that helps account for small amounts of instrument tilt. Its 5-second angle accuracy is suited to a range of routine survey and construction tasks, including topographic data collection, checking site positions, and setting out planned features.
A color touchscreen and onboard field software let the operator record points, enter descriptions, and perform calculations at the instrument. Measurements can be stored and transferred for use in drawings or project records. Bluetooth communication is available on equipped units for working with a compatible field controller.
Built for outdoor use, the FX-105 combines its measuring and data collection functions in a rugged body with IP65 dust and water protection. It gives surveyors and contractors a practical tool for moving from field measurements to usable site data.
