The Sokkia FX-102 is a 2-second reflectorless total station built for professional surveying and construction work. It measures horizontal and vertical angles along with distances, giving surveyors the information needed to calculate point positions, map site features, and set out locations from a plan.
Its reflectorless distance meter can measure directly to suitable surfaces without placing a prism at the target. This is useful for recording walls, building corners, road features, and points that are difficult to reach. Sokkia specifies a reflectorless range of 0.3 to 500 meters under stated conditions. For longer measurements, the FX-102 can also measure to a prism.
The FX-102’s 30× telescope helps the operator sight targets accurately. A dual-axis compensator accounts for small amounts of instrument tilt, while Sokkia’s Independent Angle Calibration System supports reliable angle measurement. With 2-second angle accuracy, the instrument is suited to a range of survey and layout tasks where dependable precision matters.
A color touchscreen and onboard field software allow surveyors to collect points, enter descriptions, and perform calculations at the instrument. Measurements can be stored and transferred for use in survey drawings and project records. Bluetooth communication is available on equipped units for working with a compatible field controller.
