The Sokkia CX-103 3″ Reflectorless Total Station is an electronic surveying instrument that measures horizontal angles, vertical angles, and distances to determine point locations and elevations. It is used for land surveying, construction layout, and civil-engineering measurements. The 3″ rating means three arcseconds of angular accuracy.
Its RED-tech electronic distance measurement system measures suitable surfaces without placing a prism at the target. This reflectorless capability helps surveyors capture building faces, elevated features, and difficult-to-access points. Its specified reflectorless range is 0.3–500 meters, depending on surface reflectivity and environmental conditions.
The CX-103 also measures to prisms and reflective sheets, with a single AP prism range of up to 4,000 meters under average conditions.
