Leica MCP80 3D Machine Control Panel

The Leica MCP80 is an in-cab control panel for 3D machine control systems used in heavy construction. It gives equipment operators a screen and controls for viewing job designs and guidance information while they work. The panel is used with compatible Leica software, sensors, and a machine-mounted docking station.

During grading, excavation, paving, or other earthmoving work, the MCP80 can show an operator how the machine’s working edge relates to the digital design. This helps the operator follow the planned position and elevation, check progress, and make adjustments from the cab. The information displayed depends on the machine and the Leica control system installed.

The MCP80 uses a common interface across Leica’s 3D machine control applications. An operator can remove the panel from one compatible machine and dock it in another. Machine-specific settings, including calibration information, remain in each machine’s docking station.

An 8-inch color touchscreen and backlit buttons make the panel accessible from the operator’s seat. Its removable design also lets crews take the panel out of the cab when work is finished. Cable connections are handled through the docking station rather than plugged directly into the panel each time it is moved.

Built for construction environments, the MCP80 has a rugged housing with protection against dust and water. It serves as the operator-facing part of a larger machine control setup, helping crews put digital plans to work on the jobsite. The panel alone does not provide a complete 3D guidance system; the required docking station, software, and positioning equipment must also be present.

Features:

  • 8-inch color touchscreen for viewing machine guidance and job designs
  • Backlit physical buttons for use alongside the touchscreen
  • Common interface across compatible Leica 3D machine control applications
  • Removable panel that can be moved between compatible machines
  • Cable-free panel connection; machine cables connect to the docking station
  • Machine-specific settings retained in the dock, including calibration data
  • Rugged housing designed for construction equipment
  • IP66 dust and water protection listed in Leica’s MCP80 datasheet
  • Front USB port for loading software or models and storing files
