Leica TCRP1203 Total Station TPS1200 Series
The Leica TCRP1203 is a robotic total station in Leica’s TPS1200 surveying series. It combines electronic angle measurement and distance measurement to determine the position of points in the field. The “1203” designation indicates 3-arcsecond angular accuracy, making it suitable for construction layout, topographic surveys, and as-built measurements.
The instrument can measure distances to a survey prism and, with its PinPoint reflectorless system, to suitable surfaces without placing a prism at the point. This helps surveyors capture locations such as building corners, façades, and other points that are difficult to reach. The reflectorless measurement range depends on whether the instrument has the R100 or R300 version.
Its motorized operation and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) help it aim precisely at a prism and follow the target as it moves. PowerSearch can scan for a prism and hand it over to ATR, saving time when starting a measurement or regaining a lost target. With compatible radio equipment and a field controller, the TCRP1203 can support one-person robotic surveying.
The TCRP1203 is designed to take measurements from site setup through point collection and stakeout. Leica’s TPS1200 interface and field software help surveyors record observations, guide layout work, and transfer data for office processing. The controller, radio equipment, prism, and reflectorless range configuration should be checked on an individual unit when describing what is included.
Features:
- 3-arcsecond angular accuracy for precise survey measurements.
- Prism and reflectorless distance measurement; reflectorless range depends on whether the unit has PinPoint R100 or R300.
- Motorized aiming and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) to center on a prism.
- Target tracking to follow a moving prism during robotic surveying.
- PowerSearch to locate a prism automatically or find it again after losing lock.
- Distance and angle measurements for point collection, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
- Onboard TPS1200 field software for survey and stakeout workflows.
